Azure Databricks Platform Admin

This role focuses on the administration, maintenance, and optimization of a cloud-based data platform built on Azure and Databricks. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of cloud technologies, data engineering principles, and platform management best practices, ensuring the stability, performance, and security of the environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain the Azure Databricks platform, including cluster configuration, security settings, and resource allocation.
Monitor platform performance and troubleshoot issues, ensuring optimal uptime and responsiveness.
Implement and enforce security policies and access controls to protect sensitive data.
Automate routine tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to support their data-related needs.
Participate in platform upgrades and migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to users.
Develop and maintain documentation for platform processes and procedures.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Proven experience in administering and managing cloud-based data platforms.
Strong knowledge of Azure services, including Azure Databricks, Azure Storage, and Azure Networking.
Experience with Databricks runtime environments, cluster configurations, and job scheduling.
Familiarity with data engineering concepts, such as ETL, data warehousing, and data lakes.
Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Python or Bash.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
