Mainframe Storage Subject Matter Expert

This role focuses on providing expert-level support and guidance for mainframe storage systems. The Subject Matter Expert will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of critical data storage infrastructure, collaborating with various teams to optimize storage solutions and address complex technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain mainframe storage solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related incidents and performance issues.
Develop and maintain storage documentation and procedures.
Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to ensure optimal storage utilization.
Evaluate and recommend new storage technologies and best practices.
Participate in capacity planning and forecasting.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Extensive experience in mainframe storage administration and management.
Strong understanding of mainframe hardware and software.
Proficiency in storage technologies such as DASD, tape, and virtualization.
Experience with mainframe operating systems (e.g., z/OS).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
