Senior Medical Coder

This role involves accurately coding medical records to ensure proper billing and reimbursement. The Senior Medical Coder will be responsible for reviewing patient charts, applying appropriate codes, and ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Review and interpret medical documentation to assign accurate ICD, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.
Maintain a thorough understanding of coding updates and changes.
Resolve coding discrepancies and denials.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify documentation and coding needs.
Participate in coding audits and quality assurance reviews.

Requirements/Qualifications

Proven experience as a Medical Coder.
Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
Knowledge of ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
