You'll sit at the intersection of customer-facing problem solving and hands-on development: triaging and resolving technical escalations, communicating clearly with stakeholders, and shipping code fixes for issues you can resolve end-to-end.</p> <p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal" data-sourcepos="11:1-11:229;571-799">This is a great fit for an early-career engineer who wants real production experience across two modern backend stacks, Ruby on Rails and Go, while building strong debugging, communication, and AI-augmented development skills.</p> <p><strong>Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities</strong>:</p> <ul> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" data-sourcepos="15:1-15:140;820-959">Own the resolution of technical escalation tickets: investigate, reproduce, and diagnose issues reported by customers and internal teams.</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" data-sourcepos="16:1-16:167;960-1126">Communicate with stakeholders (support, product, customer success, and occasionally customers) to gather context, set expectations, and report on resolution status.</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" data-sourcepos="17:1-17:165;1127-1291">Identify tickets that can be resolved as self-service engineering work, then write the code, open the pull request, and see the fix through review and deployment.</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" data-sourcepos="18:1-18:244;1292-1535">Use AI-assisted tooling to accelerate triage — determining whether an issue is a product bug, a configuration problem, or expected behavior — and to draft and review candidate code solutions, applying your own judgment before anything ships.</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" data-sourcepos="19:1-19:122;1536-1657">Contribute to root-cause analysis and help reduce recurring escalations by improving code, documentation, and runbooks.</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" data-sourcepos="20:1-20:146;1658-1803">Follow secure development practices: least-privilege access, secrets management, and careful handling of sensitive candidate and customer data.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements &amp; Skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" data-sourcepos="30:1-30:133;2046-2178">0–2 years of professional software development experience (internships, co-ops, and substantial personal/academic projects count).</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" data-sourcepos="31:1-31:159;2179-2337">Working proficiency in Go — Python is a plus</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" data-sourcepos="32:1-32:102;2338-2439">Familiarity with relational databases and the ability to read and write SQL (PostgreSQL preferred).</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" data-sourcepos="33:1-33:116;2440-2555">Strong debugging instincts: you enjoy digging into logs, reproducing issues, and tracing problems across systems.</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" data-sourcepos="34:1-34:154;2556-2709">Clear written and verbal communication — you can explain a technical issue to a non-technical stakeholder and keep people informed without being asked.</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" data-sourcepos="35:1-35:150;2710-2859">Comfort using AI tools as part of your workflow, paired with the judgment to critically review AI-generated analysis and code before relying on it. Ie .
