AWS Platform Application Support Engineer

This role focuses on providing expert support and maintenance for cloud-based applications and platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting complex issues, implementing solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize the overall cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical support and troubleshooting for AWS-based applications and infrastructure.
Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
Implement and maintain security best practices within the cloud environment.
Automate operational tasks and improve efficiency through scripting and tooling.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless application deployments.
Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support.
Document support processes and procedures.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Significant experience in supporting and maintaining AWS cloud environments.
Strong understanding of AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) is a plus.
Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
