Head - Collection Recovery

This role is responsible for leading and managing the collection recovery function, ensuring efficient and effective recovery of outstanding debts while maintaining compliance and adhering to ethical practices. The position requires a strategic leader with strong analytical and negotiation skills, capable of building and motivating a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement collection strategies and procedures to maximize recovery rates.
Manage and mentor a team of collection professionals, providing guidance and training.
Oversee the entire collection process, from initial contact to legal action, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
Analyze collection data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Negotiate payment plans and settlements with debtors.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as legal and finance departments, to resolve complex collection issues.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to debt collection.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Extensive experience in collection recovery, preferably in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of debt collection laws and regulations.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
Experience with collection software and systems.
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
