Packing Supervisor

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Packing Supervisor to oversee and manage all packing operations within our facility. The ideal candidate will ensure that packing processes are carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality standards, while leading and motivating a team of packing staff to meet production targets and delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the packing team to ensure smooth and efficient operations
Monitor packing processes to ensure adherence to quality standards, packaging specifications, and safety protocols
Plan and allocate workforce and resources to meet production and dispatch schedules
Conduct regular inspections of packed goods to minimize errors, damage, and wastage
Maintain accurate records of packing output, material consumption, and inventory
Train, guide, and evaluate team members to improve performance and productivity
Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and production departments for seamless workflow
Identify bottlenecks in the packing process and implement corrective measures
Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of packing equipment and work areas
Report operational issues, shortages, or discrepancies to management in a timely manner

Requirements / Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or diploma in a relevant field; equivalent practical experience considered
Proven experience in a supervisory role within a packing, warehousing, or manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of packing techniques, materials, and quality control procedures
Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Good knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations
Proficiency in maintaining operational records and basic reporting
Familiarity with inventory management and ERP/WMS systems is an advantage
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Willingness to work in shifts as required
