US Mortgage Live Underwriter

This role involves evaluating and approving mortgage loan applications in accordance with established guidelines and regulations. The Live Underwriter will analyze financial documentation, assess risk factors, and make informed decisions to ensure the integrity of the lending process. This position requires a strong understanding of mortgage underwriting principles and a commitment to providing excellent service.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and analyze mortgage loan applications, including credit reports, income documentation, and asset verification.
Assess borrower risk and determine loan eligibility based on established underwriting guidelines.
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Communicate effectively with borrowers, lenders, and other stakeholders throughout the loan process.
Document underwriting decisions and rationale clearly and concisely.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and regulatory changes.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Experience in mortgage underwriting or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of mortgage lending regulations and best practices.
