Mainframe DB2 System Programmer

This role involves providing expert-level support and maintenance for mainframe systems, with a strong focus on DB2 database administration and related technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of critical mainframe applications and data.

Key Responsibilities:

Installing, configuring, and maintaining mainframe hardware and software.
Administering and optimizing DB2 databases, including performance tuning and troubleshooting.
Developing and implementing backup and recovery strategies for mainframe systems and databases.
Monitoring system performance and proactively identifying and resolving potential issues.
Collaborating with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of mainframe systems with other applications.
Implementing security measures to protect mainframe data and systems.
Documenting system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Extensive experience in mainframe systems administration and support.
Strong expertise in DB2 database administration, including performance tuning and optimization.
Proficiency in mainframe operating systems (e.g., z/OS).
Experience with mainframe security concepts and technologies.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
