Mainframe Storage Administrator

This role involves managing and maintaining mainframe storage systems, ensuring data integrity, availability, and performance. The Mainframe Storage Administrator will be responsible for implementing storage solutions, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing storage utilization within a complex IT environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and monitor mainframe storage systems.
Implement and maintain storage solutions, including SAN and NAS environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related issues.
Optimize storage utilization and performance.
Perform storage capacity planning and forecasting.
Implement and maintain backup and recovery procedures.
Ensure data integrity and security.
Participate in disaster recovery exercises.
Collaborate with other IT teams to support business needs.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Experience in mainframe storage administration.
Strong understanding of storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, and tape.
Experience with mainframe operating systems (e.g., z/OS).
Knowledge of storage management tools.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills.
7 to 12 years of relevant experience.
