Costing Engineer

This role involves providing engineering support focused on cost optimization and analysis. The Costing Engineer will be responsible for evaluating manufacturing processes, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring accurate cost estimations for various projects.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze product designs and manufacturing processes to identify cost reduction opportunities.
Develop and maintain cost models and databases.
Prepare cost estimates for new products and projects.
Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing teams to implement cost-saving initiatives.
Evaluate vendor quotes and negotiate pricing.
Conduct value engineering studies.
Document cost analysis findings and recommendations.

Requirements/Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field).
3 to 5 years of experience in costing or cost engineering.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in cost estimation techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
