Snowflake Developer

Role Overview

Grophi OPC is looking for a skilled Snowflake Developer to join their data engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines and data warehouse solutions on the Snowflake platform. You will collaborate closely with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and high-performance cloud data solutions that drive actionable insights across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Snowflake data warehouse objects including databases, schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, and tasks
Build and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines to ingest and transform data from various sources into Snowflake
Implement data modeling best practices including star schema, snowflake schema, and data vault methodologies
Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to ensure data quality, consistency, and availability
Optimize Snowflake queries and warehouse configurations for performance and cost efficiency
Develop and maintain data integration workflows using tools such as dbt, ADF, or similar platforms
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data pipeline failures and performance bottlenecks
Implement and enforce data security policies, role-based access controls, and compliance standards within Snowflake
Document technical designs, data flows, and processes for knowledge sharing and governance
Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for Snowflake development

Requirements / Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, including architecture, administration, and development
Proficiency in SQL and experience writing complex queries, stored procedures, and optimization techniques
Experience with ELT/ETL tools and frameworks (e.g., dbt, Apache Airflow, Azure Data Factory, Informatica)
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Experience with data modeling concepts and dimensional modeling
Knowledge of Python or another scripting language for data engineering tasks
Understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices
Experience with version control systems such as Git
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is a plus
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows is a plus
