Mainframe I/O Configuration Administrator

This role involves managing and maintaining the mainframe I/O configuration, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of critical systems. The Mainframe I/O Configuration Administrator will be responsible for implementing changes, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with various teams to support the mainframe environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Configure and maintain mainframe I/O subsystems.
Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement.
Troubleshoot and resolve I/O related issues.
Implement and test changes to the I/O configuration.
Collaborate with system administrators, developers, and other stakeholders.
Document I/O configurations and procedures.
Participate in on-call rotation as needed.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Experience with IBM Z mainframe systems.
Strong understanding of mainframe I/O architecture.
Proficiency in configuring and managing mainframe I/O subsystems.
Experience with mainframe operating systems (e.g., z/OS).
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with mainframe monitoring tools.
6 to 10 years of relevant experience.
