AWS MSK Migration Engineer

This role focuses on migrating and managing Apache Kafka clusters on Amazon Web Services (AWS) using Amazon Managed Streaming for Kafka (MSK). The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Kafka architecture, AWS services, and migration best practices, contributing to the seamless transition of data streaming infrastructure to the cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement migration strategies for on-premise Kafka clusters to AWS MSK.
Configure and manage MSK clusters, ensuring high availability and performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kafka and MSK environments.
Monitor cluster health and performance, proactively identifying and addressing potential problems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful migration and integration.
Automate deployment and configuration tasks using infrastructure-as-code principles.
Implement security best practices for Kafka and MSK.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Experience with Apache Kafka and related technologies.
Strong understanding of AWS services, including MSK, EC2, S3, and IAM.
Experience with data streaming and real-time data processing.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
