Radiological Safety Officer (RSO) - Industrial X-Ray/NDT/Radiography

This role is responsible for ensuring the safe and compliant operation of industrial radiography equipment and processes. The Radiological Safety Officer will oversee all aspects of radiation safety, including personnel monitoring, equipment maintenance, and adherence to regulatory requirements. This position requires a strong understanding of radiation physics, safety protocols, and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement radiation safety programs and procedures.
Conduct regular radiation surveys and monitoring.
Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Provide training to personnel on radiation safety practices.
Maintain accurate records of radiation exposure and safety incidents.
Oversee the proper storage and handling of radioactive materials.
Investigate and report any radiation safety incidents.
Perform quality assurance checks on radiation equipment.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Experience in radiological safety, preferably in an industrial setting.
Strong knowledge of radiation physics and safety principles.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to radiation safety.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with industrial radiography techniques (X-ray, NDT).
Certification as a Radiological Safety Officer (RSO) is preferred.
