Branch Head

Role Overview

Kotak Mahindra Bank is seeking an experienced and dynamic Branch Head to lead and manage all operations at one of its Hyderabad branches. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining regulatory compliance, and leading a high-performing team to achieve branch targets across liability, asset, and fee-income products.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee end-to-end branch operations, ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day functioning
Drive branch profitability by achieving targets across deposits, loans, insurance, and investment products
Lead, mentor, and motivate branch staff to deliver consistent performance and customer satisfaction
Build and manage relationships with high-net-worth and corporate clients to grow the branch's customer base
Ensure strict adherence to RBI guidelines, bank policies, and compliance/audit requirements
Monitor and control operational risks, ensuring all processes meet internal and regulatory standards
Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities to maximize revenue from existing customers
Analyze branch performance metrics and implement corrective actions where necessary
Coordinate with regional and zonal teams to align branch goals with overall business strategy
Handle escalated customer grievances and ensure prompt resolution

Requirements / Qualifications

Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
Relevant experience in retail banking, branch operations, or financial services
Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing branch P&L
Strong leadership and team management skills
In-depth knowledge of banking products including CASA, loans, insurance, and investment products
Familiarity with RBI regulations and banking compliance frameworks
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client relationship management skills
Proficiency in banking software and MS Office tools
Ability to work in a target-driven, fast-paced environment
