HVAC Design Engineer

This role involves designing and implementing efficient and sustainable HVAC systems for various projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed designs, selecting appropriate equipment, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This position requires a strong understanding of HVAC principles and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop detailed HVAC system designs, including layouts, equipment specifications, and control strategies.
Perform load calculations and energy modeling to optimize system performance.
Select and evaluate HVAC equipment based on project requirements and budget.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems.
Review shop drawings and submittals to verify compliance with design specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC-related issues during construction and operation.
Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
8 to 16 years of experience in HVAC design and engineering.
Proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Trane Trace).
Strong understanding of HVAC principles, equipment, and systems.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of building codes and industry standards.
