Storage and Backup Administrator

This role focuses on ensuring the integrity, availability, and security of critical data through the implementation and management of robust storage and backup solutions. The Storage and Backup Administrator will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining storage infrastructure, as well as developing and executing backup and recovery strategies to minimize data loss and ensure business continuity.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain storage systems, including SAN, NAS, and cloud-based storage.
Develop and implement backup and recovery procedures.
Monitor storage performance and identify areas for improvement.
Troubleshoot storage-related issues and provide timely resolution.
Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations.
Participate in capacity planning and forecasting.
Automate storage management tasks where possible.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Experience in storage administration and backup technologies.
Strong understanding of storage protocols (e.g., Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS).
Experience with backup software and methodologies.
Knowledge of virtualization technologies.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and documentation skills.
