Backup Administrator L3

This role involves ensuring the integrity, availability, and recoverability of critical data and systems through robust backup and recovery strategies. The Backup Administrator will be responsible for managing backup infrastructure, implementing and testing recovery procedures, and proactively identifying and addressing potential data loss risks.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain backup and recovery solutions.
Monitor backup jobs and troubleshoot any failures.
Perform regular testing of backup and recovery procedures.
Maintain accurate documentation of backup configurations and procedures.
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure data protection aligns with business requirements.
Optimize backup performance and storage utilization.
Implement and maintain data retention policies.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Minimum 6 to 10 years of experience in IT with a focus on backup and recovery.
Strong understanding of backup principles and technologies.
Experience with various backup software and hardware solutions.
Proficiency in scripting languages for automation.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
