Sr. Data Engineer (Remote)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure that power critical business insights. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and engineering teams to ensure the reliable delivery of high-quality data across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows
Architect and manage data warehouses, data lakes, and lakehouse solutions
Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across all data systems
Optimize existing data infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions
Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data pipeline issues in a timely manner
Mentor junior data engineers and contribute to technical documentation

Requirements / Qualifications

5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in data engineering or a related field
Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language such as Python or Scala
Experience with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and their data services
Proficiency with data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift
Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or similar
Solid understanding of data modeling, schema design, and dimensional modeling concepts
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
