Senior Export and Import Executive

Role Overview

Onyx Robotics and Automation Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Export and Import Executive to manage and oversee all aspects of international trade operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customs regulations, logistics coordination, and documentation compliance, ensuring seamless movement of goods across borders in alignment with regulatory requirements and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end export and import operations including documentation, compliance, and coordination with freight forwarders and customs brokers
Prepare and verify trade documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and letters of credit
Ensure compliance with customs regulations, trade laws, and international shipping standards
Coordinate with internal departments including procurement, warehouse, finance, and sales to facilitate smooth shipment processing
Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any logistical issues or delays
Liaise with government agencies, customs authorities, and regulatory bodies for clearances and approvals
Maintain accurate records of all import/export transactions for audit and reporting purposes
Identify cost-saving opportunities in freight, duties, and logistics operations
Stay updated on changes in trade policies, tariffs, and international regulations that may impact operations
Negotiate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and customs agents for competitive rates and services

Requirements / Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Commerce, International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
Proven experience of 4 to 6 years in export and import operations or international logistics
Strong knowledge of customs procedures, Incoterms, EXIM policies, and trade compliance regulations
Hands-on experience with documentation such as LC (Letter of Credit), BL (Bill of Lading), SB (Shipping Bill), and BOE (Bill of Entry)
Familiarity with ERP systems and trade management software
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple shipments simultaneously
Knowledge of GST, duty drawback, and other relevant taxation aspects related to trade
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Experience in the manufacturing or automation industry is an added advantage
