Role Overview
Attero is seeking a skilled and experienced ITI Fitter to join its operations team in Pune. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fitting, assembling, and maintaining mechanical components and equipment to ensure smooth and efficient production processes. This role requires hands-on technical expertise and a strong understanding of fitting and fabrication practices in an industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, fit, and install mechanical components, pipelines, and structural frameworks as per engineering drawings and specifications
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment
- Inspect and test assembled systems to identify faults and ensure compliance with quality standards
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders accurately
- Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments for fitting and fabrication tasks
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to resolve technical issues promptly
- Maintain proper documentation of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs
- Adhere to workplace safety standards and comply with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) guidelines
- Report equipment malfunctions and suggest improvements to enhance operational efficiency
Requirements / Qualifications
- ITI certification in the Fitter trade from a recognized institution is mandatory
- Relevant experience of 4 to 6 years in a similar industrial or manufacturing role
- Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings, schematics, and blueprints
- Hands-on experience with fitting, assembly, and maintenance of industrial machinery
- Working knowledge of measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Familiarity with welding, cutting, and fabrication processes is an advantage
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Good understanding of workplace safety practices and protocols
