Application Security Engineer

This role focuses on ensuring the security of our applications and systems through proactive identification and mitigation of vulnerabilities. The Application Security Engineer will be responsible for implementing security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle, collaborating with development teams, and responding to security incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct security assessments and penetration testing of applications.
Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities in code and infrastructure.
Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Respond to and investigate security incidents.
Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities.
Perform code reviews to identify potential security flaws.

Requirements/Qualifications:

3 to 8 years of experience in application security.
Strong understanding of common web application vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10).
Experience with security assessment tools and techniques.
Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java).
Knowledge of security best practices and frameworks.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with cloud security principles and practices is a plus.
