Research Associate with Professor

Role Overview

The Research Associate will work closely with a faculty professor at the Indian School of Business (ISB), supporting academic research initiatives across business, management, economics, or related disciplines. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in rigorous scholarly work, contributing to publications, policy briefs, and thought leadership within a premier business school environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the assigned professor in designing and executing research projects from inception to completion
Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and synthesize findings from academic journals, reports, and datasets
Collect, clean, and analyze quantitative and/or qualitative data using appropriate research methodologies
Prepare research summaries, presentations, working papers, and draft manuscripts for academic publications
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including co-investigators and industry partners
Manage project timelines, documentation, and research databases to ensure smooth workflow
Support grant writing, proposal development, and ethical clearance processes where required
Present research findings in internal seminars and contribute to academic conferences

Requirements & Qualifications

Master's degree or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Business Administration, Economics, Management, Social Sciences, or a related field
Prior experience in academic or applied research is preferred
Proficiency in statistical and data analysis tools such as SPSS, Stata, R, or Python
Strong understanding of research design, both quantitative and qualitative methodologies
Excellent academic writing, editing, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and meet deadlines
High attention to detail and a commitment to research integrity and ethics
Familiarity with academic databases such as JSTOR, EBSCO, SSRN, or similar platforms
