Sales Manager - Current Account

Role Overview

CSB Bank is seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to lead and grow the Current Account business in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will be responsible for acquiring and managing current account customers, driving liability business, and building strong relationships with businesses, traders, and corporate clients to achieve branch and regional targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive acquisition of new current account customers through direct sales, referrals, and channel partnerships
  • Develop and execute strategies to grow the current account portfolio and associated float balances
  • Manage and mentor a team of sales executives to achieve individual and team targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with SMEs, traders, businesses, and corporate clients
  • Collaborate with branch teams to identify cross-selling opportunities for banking products and services
  • Monitor portfolio health, customer activity, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
  • Ensure compliance with all banking regulations, KYC norms, and internal policies during account sourcing
  • Prepare and present periodic sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to senior management
  • Identify market trends and competitor activities to refine sales strategies accordingly

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; MBA preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in current account sales, liability sales, or retail/SME banking
  • Strong understanding of current account products, banking operations, and regulatory guidelines
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in a competitive banking environment
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and sustain relationships with business clients and key stakeholders
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office applications
  • Experience in managing and developing field sales teams is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of the local Hyderabad market and business ecosystem
