Kafka Admin

This role focuses on the administration and maintenance of Apache Kafka clusters, ensuring high availability, performance, and data integrity. The Kafka Administrator will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing Kafka infrastructure to support critical business applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain Kafka clusters, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Implement and enforce security best practices for Kafka environments.
Optimize Kafka performance and scalability to meet evolving business needs.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate Kafka into applications.
Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as upgrades and patching.
Develop and maintain documentation for Kafka infrastructure and processes.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Proven experience in administering and managing Apache Kafka clusters.
Strong understanding of Kafka architecture, including brokers, topics, partitions, and consumers.
Experience with Kafka Connect and Kafka Streams is a plus.
Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments.
Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
