Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Ethical Hacker to join our cybersecurity team at TI Steps. In this role, you will be responsible for proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating security vulnerabilities across systems, networks, and applications. You will simulate real-world cyberattacks to help the organization strengthen its security posture and protect critical digital assets from evolving threats.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct authorized penetration testing on web applications, networks, and infrastructure to identify security weaknesses
- Perform vulnerability assessments and security audits across various platforms and environments
- Simulate phishing, social engineering, and other attack vectors to evaluate organizational resilience
- Develop and document detailed reports on findings, risk levels, and recommended remediation steps
- Collaborate with development and IT teams to implement security best practices and patch identified vulnerabilities
- Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, exploits, tools, and techniques
- Participate in red team/blue team exercises and threat modeling activities
- Ensure all testing activities comply with legal, ethical, and organizational guidelines
Requirements / Qualifications
- Between 2 to 7 years of hands-on experience in ethical hacking or penetration testing
- Proficiency with penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, Wireshark, and Kali Linux
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Linux/Windows), and web application architectures
- Experience with OWASP Top 10, CVE databases, and common exploit frameworks
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automating security tasks
- Familiarity with cloud security concepts and testing methodologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Relevant certifications such as CEH, OSCP, CISSP, or equivalent are highly desirable
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to communicate technical findings clearly
- Understanding of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or PCI-DSS is an advantage
