Remedial Counsellor

This role focuses on providing specialized support and guidance to students who require additional assistance to achieve their academic and personal goals. The Remedial Counsellor will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to develop and implement individualized strategies to address learning challenges and promote overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess student learning needs and develop individualized intervention plans.
Provide one-on-one or small group counseling sessions to address academic, social, and emotional challenges.
Collaborate with teachers to modify curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
Communicate regularly with parents to provide updates on student progress and discuss strategies for supporting learning at home.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions.
Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
Experience working with students with learning differences or special needs.
Strong understanding of learning theories and instructional strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
Empathy and a genuine desire to help students succeed.
