Senior Hadoop Administrator

This role focuses on managing and maintaining a robust and scalable Hadoop ecosystem to support critical data processing and analytics needs. The Senior Hadoop Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of the Hadoop infrastructure, while also contributing to its ongoing optimization and evolution.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain Hadoop clusters, including HDFS, MapReduce, YARN, and related components.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime and efficiency.
Implement and maintain security best practices for the Hadoop environment.
Automate routine tasks and processes to improve operational efficiency.
Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to support their data processing and analytics requirements.
Participate in capacity planning and resource allocation.
Stay up-to-date with the latest Hadoop technologies and trends.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Extensive experience in Hadoop administration and management.
Strong understanding of Hadoop ecosystem components (HDFS, MapReduce, YARN, Hive, Spark).
Proficiency in Linux/Unix operating systems.
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
Knowledge of data security best practices.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
