SDS Same Day Surgery Coder

This role focuses on providing accurate and efficient medical coding services for same-day surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding guidelines, and billing practices within a surgical setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and interpret medical records to assign appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes.
Ensure accurate coding based on established guidelines and regulations.
Maintain a thorough understanding of coding updates and changes.
Collaborate with medical staff to clarify documentation and coding discrepancies.
Verify and process claims for timely reimbursement.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Proven experience in medical coding, preferably within a surgical or ambulatory care environment.
Strong knowledge of ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in medical coding software.
