Game Tester

Role Overview

Smartbrains is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Game Tester to join their quality assurance team in Hyderabad. In this role, you will be responsible for playing and testing video games at various stages of development to identify bugs, glitches, and inconsistencies, ensuring that the final product meets quality standards and delivers an exceptional user experience.

Key Responsibilities

Execute test cases and test plans for game features across various platforms
Identify, document, and report bugs, glitches, and gameplay issues using bug tracking tools
Perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing on game builds
Verify that previously reported bugs have been resolved in new builds
Collaborate with developers and designers to communicate issues clearly and effectively
Ensure gameplay mechanics, UI elements, and in-game content meet quality standards
Provide detailed feedback on gameplay experience and user interface usability
Maintain accurate records of testing activities and outcomes

Requirements/Qualifications

Basic understanding of software or game testing methodologies
Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
Passion for video games and familiarity with various gaming genres and platforms
Good written and verbal communication skills for clear bug reporting
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) is a plus
Knowledge of game development lifecycle is an advantage
Freshers and candidates with no prior experience are welcome to apply
