Mainframe Automation System Administrator

This role focuses on ensuring the stability, performance, and security of mainframe systems through automation and efficient administration. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mainframe technologies and a proven ability to implement automation solutions to streamline operations and reduce manual intervention.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to manage mainframe tasks.
Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
Maintain and troubleshoot mainframe hardware and software.
Implement and enforce security policies and procedures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration.
Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
Document system configurations and procedures.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Significant experience in mainframe system administration.
Proficiency in automation scripting languages (e.g., REXX, JCL, Ansible).
Strong understanding of mainframe operating systems (e.g., z/OS).
Experience with mainframe security tools and practices.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
