Material Handling and Storage Assistant

This role involves supporting the efficient and safe movement and storage of materials within a manufacturing environment. The Material Handling and Storage Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods, maintaining inventory accuracy, and contributing to a well-organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities

Receive and inspect incoming materials.
Move materials to designated storage areas.
Organize and maintain storage areas to ensure efficient retrieval.
Operate material handling equipment safely and effectively.
Assist with inventory counts and record keeping.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
Prepare materials for shipment.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the work area.

Requirements/Qualifications

Experience in material handling or warehouse operations.
Ability to operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) - certification a plus.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
