Observability Platform Manager

This role focuses on managing and optimizing an observability platform to ensure reliable and efficient system monitoring and performance analysis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of observability principles, experience with relevant tools and technologies, and a proven ability to collaborate with engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain the observability platform, ensuring its stability and scalability.
Develop and implement monitoring strategies to proactively identify and resolve system issues.
Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate observability tools into development workflows.
Analyze observability data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
Automate observability tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Define and maintain service level objectives (SLOs) and service level indicators (SLIs).
Troubleshoot and resolve observability-related incidents.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Extensive experience in managing and operating observability platforms.
Strong understanding of observability principles and best practices.
Proficiency with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, or similar.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
