Software Asset Management Professional

This role focuses on managing and optimizing software assets within an organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance, controlling costs, and maximizing the value of software investments.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the entire software asset lifecycle, from procurement to retirement.
Maintain accurate records of software licenses and usage.
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with licensing agreements.
Identify and mitigate software asset-related risks.
Optimize software spending and negotiate favorable vendor contracts.
Develop and implement software asset management policies and procedures.
Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to align software assets with business needs.

Requirements/Qualifications

8 to 12 years of experience in software asset management.
Strong understanding of software licensing models and agreements.
Experience with software asset management tools and processes.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of ITIL framework is a plus.
