M&A Research Analyst

EquiMatch is a Berlin-based AI-assisted deal target generation platform serving private equity firms. We turn high-level investment criteria into curated longlists of acquisition targets — combining structured data, web scraping pipelines, and LLM-assisted enrichment to surface companies that traditional databases miss. We work directly with PE deal teams across Europe, and we're scaling the team that turns mandates into pipeline. ## Tasks You'll own the workflow that takes a client's investment thesis and turns it into a high-quality longlist of target companies. Day-to-day, this means: * Translating buy-side mandates, CIMs, and acquirer profiles into structured search scopes — value chain positioning, keywords, inclusion and exclusion criteria * Building longlists by querying our backend, running pipelines, and combining results from multiple data sources (our internal database, third-party providers, web-scraped data) * Running QA on pipelines before they go to clients — checking data quality, leadership coverage, country mapping, and clause logic ## Requirements * Fluent in English * 1–3 years in an analytical role * any prioir experience in the financial industry - a plus * prior experience in M&A - a plus * experience working with company databases ## Benefits Real ownership A toolchain built for leverage: reusable Claude-powered skills, internal APIs, and data infrastructure that you'll help shape A front-row seat to how AI is reshaping a slow-moving corner of finance — and the chance to build the playbook we're looking for remote support and prioritize candidates based on prior relevant experience and timezone proximity Find [Jobs in Germany](https://www.arbeitnow.com/) on Arbeitnow
