Deputy Director - Transportation

This role focuses on the strategic management and optimization of transportation operations. The Deputy Director will be responsible for ensuring efficient and cost-effective movement of goods, while maintaining high levels of service and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement transportation strategies aligned with business objectives.
Manage relationships with transportation providers and negotiate contracts.
Oversee transportation planning, execution, and performance monitoring.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
Lead and mentor a team of transportation professionals.
Analyze data and generate reports to track key performance indicators.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Significant experience in transportation management, preferably within a large organization.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Proven ability to develop and implement effective transportation strategies.
Solid understanding of transportation regulations and safety standards.
Analytical skills and ability to interpret data.
Experience with transportation management systems (TMS).
